How a claim works
Three steps, and we do the heavy lifting
- Step 01
Tell us straight away
Use the form below, email claims@wwib.co.za or phone (031) 336 9400 as soon as possible after the incident. Early notice protects your claim.
- Step 02
Send us the evidence
Email photos, your policy number and any police or incident reference to claims@wwib.co.za. Theft and hijacking always need a police case number.
- Step 03
We take it from there
Westwood submits, tracks and negotiates the claim with the insurer until it is settled — and keeps you informed throughout.
Notify us of a claim
Send us the basics and a claims handler will contact you. It goes straight to claims@wwib.co.za.

Claims questions
01How soon must I report a claim?
As soon as reasonably possible. Most policies set reporting windows that differ by policy and claim type, so tell us immediately and we will confirm what applies to yours.
02What should I send with my claim?
Photos of the damage, your policy number, any police or incident reference (mandatory for theft and hijacking), and invoices or proof of ownership for lost items. Email them to claims@wwib.co.za. The more you send, the faster the assessment.
03My car has been in an accident. Who should tow it?
Call the roadside assistance number your insurer gives you (it is on your policy schedule) before letting anyone move the vehicle. Unauthorised tow trucks can charge far more than your policy pays for towing and storage. Not sure which number applies? Call us on (031) 336 9400.
04Who deals with the insurer?
We do. Westwood manages submission, assessor appointments, queries and settlement negotiation on your behalf, and keeps you informed throughout.
